Home Ownership
Bay County Habitat for Humanity has worked with 43 partner families to make their dreams of home ownership become a reality, providing shelter to 158 children. Our 44th partner family has been selected and is working toward completing their sweat equity hours. We are currently building their new home.
Habitat for Humanity sells homes to qualifying partner families and assists them obtain affordable mortgages. Our partner families payments are Habitat's largest source of revenue and are used to build more affordable homes. |
Home Repairs & Neighborhood Revitalization
Bay County Habitat for Humanity works with current homeowners to provide weatherization, critical home repairs, and home preservation services. Eligible homeowners contribute their time and cover all or a portion of the costs of the repairs through no interest, no profit payment plans.
Through our Neighborhood Revitalization Initiatives, Habitat has repaired and revitalized 116 owner-occupied homes, 23 parks/nature areas, 7 neighborhoods, 4 non-profit/public buildings, 3 churches, 2 veteran's monuments, a veteran's cemetery, and a senior living center. |
